Rascal ET-Fullblood Braunvieh

    Rascal stamps his calves with thickness and depth.  He is deceased so the semen supply is limited.  If you are looking for a Fullblood Braunvieh bull that is strong in the traits most discerning breeders look for, you will have to go a long ways to find any better than this bull.

    We noticed Rascal first through his calves at Rock Creek Braunvieh.  After some time of following his calf crops and continually being impressed by what we saw, we went together with Bill Ferguson at Lightning F Braunvieh and bought Rascal.  Rascal was used natural service in both our herds and his calves have been outstanding.

    His sire was imported by Golden Link and was injured shortly after and was put down.  As a result, Rascal is the best of a mostly untapped source of high quality import genetics in the States.  His dam has been a top producer and has had a lot of progeny sell very well.

     We used a son of his, DIA N Polled Rascal and have several nice daughters out of Polled Rascal coming on.  He was also the sire of the third high indexing bull in the 2009 National Braunvieh Bull Test.
